How Do I Add A Signature To My Posts and Pages with HTML?

Have you have ever wanted to know how to add a signature to one or all of your WordPress Posts and Pages with HTML? Well, you’re about to find out.

Yes – you will need to do some coding.

It’s very simple HTML though. If you are totally new to coding – trust me. It’s really easy.

Quick Tip:

When you have your Signature Code written out – Save it in a Word doc or Notepad. Then all you’ll need to do after is copy & paste it.

I’m going to walk you through a few of the basics of this code you’ll be using. You’ll have all of the Example you need.

Ready. Set. Let’s Go!

You will insert the following to add different things into your content. I’ll state what it’s for first and then I’ll place the code. The code as a whole will always be inside of an < and a /> .

You’ll want to switch over to your WordPress page or post Text editor instead of the Visual editor.

Text Editor

To Start a Paragraph Break : <p>

To Close the Paragraph Break: <\p>

Font Size: <span style=”font-size: 14pt;”> You will use the ‘span style’ for all changes with the actual writing or font. Such as the font size, to make the lettering bold, or to put it in italics, etc.

Closing the Font Size: </span>

To Make Font Bold: <strong>

To Stop Boldness: </strong>

Italics: <em>

Stop Italics: </em>

So… For example: <span style=”font-size: 18pt;”> <strong> <em>

You will put your content or writing in between the opening code and the closing code.

The closing code will be as follows </span> </strong> </em>

Those are some very basic HTML you can use in all of your WordPress posts and pages.

Now you can also place a link in your text. This will make a word or phrase Live or in other words link to what you are mentioning and it will redirect there. Just a note – it’s a good practice to have the redirect link open in a new tab or window instead of moving away from your site.

This code will look something like this: <a href=”https://bobbiraffin.com/work-with-me/”>

Then you can place some text there. Something like ‘Click Here’ or whatever you want your audience to do.

Then you will end the code by placing a </a>

To add your picture you will need to have an uploaded image in your media section. Click on the image you want and copy the link of the images page.

Then you can add it kind of the same way as the link. It will look something like this: <a href=”https://bobbiraffin.com/wp-content/uploads/2030/1/yourimagename.png”><img class=”alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1″ title=”yourimagename” src=”https://bobbiraffin.com/wp-content/uploads/2030/1/yourimagename.png” alt=”” />

Right after the /> you will place an </a> to close that code.

Here’s an image example…

The above coding will allow you to write up a Signature as you see below…
