I understand why it is attractive, especially for women who are tired, stretched thin, or trying to build a better future. I think the phrase has created a lot of confusion.

Passive income doesn’t start with passivity. It starts with action.

You do not rest your way into passive income.
You work your way into it.

You build it.
You test it.
You refine it.
You learn what works.
You create systems that keep serving while you sleep, while you work, while you spend time with your family, and yes, even while you are doing dishes or going fishing.

But first, you build.

This matters because too many people come online hoping to find some magical shortcut that requires no thought, no effort, no consistency, and no courage. Then, when it doesn’t happen overnight, they assume online business just doesn’t work for them.

It can work.
Yet, it works best when you understand what passive income actually is.

Passive income is not “do nothing and get paid.”
